I started with my budget. How much I was able to spend. Then I looked at designs so I didn't fall for something outside of my price range. I will say when I went to try on dresses I went in with a specific type of dress in mind, yet picked something totally different.


When I was looking for affordable dresses for my maid of honor Amazon had a lot of nice options. My sister-in-law got her dress off Lulu's. I have heard JJ's house has nice dresses.

Off the top of my head, if you weren't looking for an actual bridal dress from a bridal boutique, some shops that have lovely, affordable bridalwear include ASOS, Chi Chi London and Lulu's.

That said, there are certain stores that sell off the rack dresses, samples, orders that weren't picked up, plus dresses for older seasons, if you did want to buy a 'boutique' style wedding dress!

You can also get a white evening gown … it doesn’t have to be an actual wedding gown.

I hate spending money so I looked at Amazon, Macy's, and David's Bridal Clearance, before ordering one from Azazie for $200. Quality is amazing, and I love it!
