Dresses and Big Busts!

So I am about 5'2" and have an abnormally large chest. I have not started looking for dresses yet because to be honest, I am afraid I will HATE everything I try on because I HATE the way everything looks on me because of the girls. Are there certain types of styles to definitely try on, stay away...

Are there certain types of styles to definitely try on, stay away from, not even look at...What kind of luck have you had when finding the dress that fits you just right?!

This was an issue for me as well. I am a 40 DD. I thought I would need a plus dress and straps to hold up the girls.

I would have never dreamed a halter would wind up being the best neckline for me. My gown sort of has a combo sweatheart and halter. I also had to get a Size 16 and have it altered to fit the bottom.

This pic actually shows the kneckline the best. I am ordering the bolero in champagne to match the gown.

Like the other ladies, I highly suggest a long line corset. I actually bought mine at Alfred Angelo. Your dress boutique may have them on hand as well. You may want to wait to buy it because the undergarment I brought with me showed, so I had to go with one of their corsets.

    Good luck!

    Thank you Future Mrs. K!

The best advice I can give is call ahead and see if the shop has samples in your size. If it has a website, check out the styles and bring your list with you to your appointment. However, do not to limit yourself to the list. Try on things your consultant suggests.

But once you go shopping if they dont ask you questions online first when you make a appt or walking this lets the consultant of what you like and want then she will speak to you further once you are there and you let her k ow then it's her job. To find what works and flatters you and to look amazing. I know that yiu will find something dont be discourage you will find something let us k ow when you do happy thoughts with your shopping

Choose a straight cut like this and have it altered so it fits just right without falling down. I'm a DD and I had a cut like this in my first gown and my bust was not on display at all. Another option is if it plunges a bit, you can get a lace privacy panel put in Dresses and Big Busts! 1
