Okay, FH and I are on a tight budget. We are paying for the whole thing ourselves, and have 3 kids between the 3 of us. So that being said, I have decided to use the reception are for the ceremony too. It's not really what I want to do, but we really don't have any other options. It is going to be a rustic theme. The crappy thing abotu the venue is we can't put anything on the walls and the wall that I am walking down the aisle to is UGLY!!! The room can be opened up to make the area bigger, but we are stickign with the smaller area. (more)

K&H you're awesome! thank you. You are all great. Thanks sooo much for the tips and input. The ideas are really starting to hit me. I could maybe but a few trellises like these and use them ever so often for support on the draping.

    Brittney,

What about doing some sort of up lighting and diming the lights? That way the focus isnt on the walls? If you cant afford that ..id consider lots of candles if you can and have very very dim lighting if at all possible..that will make the room feel more cozy and intimate Smiley smile

It's a lovely site. If you really want draping, I think you should just drape that dividing wall. You could really draw attention away from the bare walls by adding accents to each corner of the room. Maybe some trees with lighting, or pedestal stands with flower arrangements, you could even wrap light strings around the pedestals. Are you able to dim the lights in the room? Also, you could wrap the basket or container for the tree in fabric that matches your wedding colors, then find a ribbon in your accent color to wrap around the fabric, and make a really nice bow. ..
