Drink Calculator

mimitrue, on August 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

So there are a ton of different beer, liquor, non-alcoholic drink calculators online but they all come up with different results. Does anyone have one they found specifically good/accurate?

This is what our bartender sent us, but we'll be getting more because we know our guests like to drink and we get to bring leftovers home: Recommended Beer and Wine amount

For a 100 person wedding, we recommend 8‐10 cases of beer of your choosing, 8‐10 bottles of a red wine, and 8‐10 bottles of a white wine and perhaps a couple bottles of champagne?

We used this one: http://www.thealcoholcalculator.com/ and the recommendations from our local liquor market: http://www.liquormarts.ca/retail-marketing/social-and-party-planner

And kind of used an in-between number. It was surprisingly close to what we had. Beer was almost exactly the same, liquor was over-estimated by about 1/2 bottles and wine was under/estimated by about 3 bottles.

This is what I have been trying to figure out myself. My issue is that we will only have beer and hard cider, no liquor or wine so it's been very hard to find am accurate number.

It also heavily depends on your personal estimation of your guests. We had 108 adults. We went through 92 bottles of wine. No joke!

Thanks VC those links were helpful. I don't know if some of our guests will drink or not. We're going to have non-alcoholic wine for the adults who don't drink, and sparkling apple cider for the kids. Along with regular refreshments.

We are dong beer and wine, so we have enough for every guest to have 2 drinks in the first hour and then 1 every hour after that. Some will drink more, some will drink less.

Also providing lots of soft drinks and water!

Did you only offer wine? Or also other drinks? And how long was your reception?
