Anyone have their DW in Hawaii?? Looking to cut the guest list by going farther away but having trouble finding places affordable. Expecting 50 ppl maybe less with $22,000. Anyone have anything similar or have any advice? Thanks!!

We’re doing a DW on Oahu but with only 25-30 guests. Instead of a full blown reception, we’re doing a seated dinner and then having guests hang out after at our rental property. Our budget is $15k. Have you looked into having your event at a vacation rental? Air bnb has some pretty great options!

    Ashlee,

Most of the vacation rentals I see on AirBnB and VRBO don't allow events (including allowing any more people than the amount sleeping there). And those that do allow events/parties seem to charge exorbitant fees and don't really provide anything for them. What rental are you looking at? I am trying to find one on Big Island but would do Oahu if I found a good place!

I totally get it! You’re right. Most of the properties don’t allow events. We decided to go with a hotel instead and do a room block. I’m sorry I don’t have a place to recommend. Everything I saw that would work was over 3k per night with a week minimum, yikes!
