Early May nc Beach Wedding...too early?

The water may be cooler than mid-late summer, but the weather (based on this year) could be perfect or a little cooler. I would just have a back-up plan if there is rain in the forecast. Have you checked the Farmer's Almanac?

I think it’ll be good weather for a wedding. I don’t think it’ll be a hot summer beach weekend, but I think it’ll be warm enough to be enjoyable for your event. Did you check the temps and wind speeds a few weeks ago to see how it was?

For us in Outer Banks, it was completely opposite this year vs last year. Last year, it was in the 80s almost every day for the week we were there and was sunny. Last week, it was 30s to 50s with a lot of wind 😩 No rain though!

NC weather is so unpredictable. In early May, it could be 80 or it could be 40, you just never know. I, personally, would have a very solid (indoor) backup plan! If you could find somewhere else with a later date, that would be a better option.

Small world my sister lives there! NC is unpredictable like someone said. This year was unusually cold but it's typically pretty warm by may 1. Good luck !
