Easiest way to gather guest addresses

What is the easiest way to gather addresses for STDs and Invitations? Should I just start texting and calling to gather information? I'm trying to have everything on paper in advance so I won't stress as much later.

We divided up the guest list between my friends, DH's friends, and our parents friends and had each person be "in charge" of getting the addresses for their guests.

I also used Postable which makes it sooooo easy!

Make a fb event (private) and make sure guests can't add people! have friends post their addresses on the timeline of the event page (: that's what i did!

Man, did I struggle with this! I have been trying to collect for a while now. I am sending out STDs in March and I have called, texted, facebooked, and asked family members to get addresses.

My FMIL is not doing very good at getting me addresses.

I group messaged on FB and had them either email me or dm me on fb, for other relatives i asked close relatives for distant contacts. Parents and grandparents always have an address book for family!

I used facebook for a few people, but was lucky enough to get the majority of FH family addresses from a cousin who got married last year. And then texting or calling when necesaary!

I had my parents get addresses for their guests, I got them for mine, FH got them for his. Make your own master list because ones from wedding websites don't always export properly. I learned that the hard way!

I'm delegating that to both moms (mine and FH).

I second the recommendation on Postable.com It's very convenient because your guests enter their info versus you having to enter it all. And they will later send out thank you cards, if you need along with other cards. And if you need to export the guest list to your wedding website or elsewhere, it exports in a clean excel spreadsheet.

I asked my mom and FMIL for any addresses that they had... all the other addresses I've been texting and facebook messaging people for them. Then have been putting them in my address book and organizing them in a word document

    I use postable.com
You send a link to the contact and they fill out the form. You can later export the contact list as XLS file
