East Coast Bachelorette Destination

Larry, on October 23, 2017 at 6:32 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 20

My MOH asked me where I'd like to go for my bachelorette party so she can start getting an idea of cost, hotels/houses options, etc. Everyone that would be invited is in the Jersey/Philly/Delaware area. I do not want to fly anywhere (cause of price). What are some good options you guys can think of? I was originally thinking Ocean City, Maryland. I definitely want to go somewhere with a nightlife scene, I want to party! Anyone been to any good locations on the east coast?

My FH had a great time in AC! Depends on the kind of scene you like though.

My bachelorette party was back at Penn State since we all went there.

Definitely lots of beach towns and college towns around! (Newark, Princeton).

Also the Poconos if you want something more laid back?

I've been to 3 bachelorette parties in Atlantic City and they were great. However they were all 3+ years ago and I know a lot has closed there since then

I know a few of the girls I'd invite don't like AC, but I loved it the few times I've been. I wasn't sure if I should stay away from to try and keep everyone happy

My MOH was talking to me about my bachelorette the other night. I had honestly never thought too much about it but I have similar located BMs/good girl friends who would be invited....me and one BM are near Baltimore, my MOH and another BM and 3-4 other friends who would be invited are in various NJ towns, 1 BM is in NYC, and a good friend is in Wilmington, DE. My MOH recommended Mohegan Sun Casino near Scranton, PA. She said she went to a bachelorette there before and there are a lot of bars and restaurants and clubs inside of it, and it is reasonably priced to stay there and it was great to not have to worry about transportation to and from different bars. I'm considering it for mine because I don't really want to do A.C. since so many of my friends have done it, and Nyc is so expensive

Baltimore is fun if you do the Power Plant Live area. I've been to a bachelorette and a birthday party there and it did not disappoint

I would also consider Philly itself! South Street could be fun... a few bars, huge slices of pizza Smiley smile

Ocean City could be fun. Rehoboth or Dewey in Delaware. I love Wildwood, NJ. My sisters bachelorette was in philly and that was fun too! We went to this amazing Cuban restaraunt and then out to the bars! There is one bar right by the water/bridge that was beautiful and def the best time of the night. It's called Morgan's Pier!

When are you thinking of having it? Any beach towns would be dead in a few months. I love Asbury Park- cheap, hipster, and lots to do. If you like music the Stone Pony has some great shows. You can rent a house in the poconos or hunter mountain (look into any festivals they may have which could be fun). Philly and Baltimore are severely underrated IMHO. You can also do the Virginia wineries in NoVa if you want something a bit more vino focused

The party would be between June and August. The exact weekend hasn't been decided. My MOH is a super planner, so she wants to get a lot of the details done early to keep an eye out for deals.

My friends and I already have an annual Dewey trip, so I was going to stay away from that. I haven't thought of Baltimore, that sounds fun!

Asbury Park, NJ/Point Pleasant, NJ for the beach and boardwalk

Inner Harbor or National Harbor in Baltimore for shows, dining, shops, etc.

    Wildwood, NJ for the beach

Shawnee on Delaware in Pennsylvania if you want a woodsy/spa retreat

NYC for the big city feel

I was just at a Bach in AC and honestly it was A LOT of money for not much in return. We stayed in an AirBnB in a shitty neighborhood and overall I would have rather spent that money somewhere else.

I agree, AC can get pricey. I like the atmosphere in the clubs there though.

Bethany or Dewey Beach. If you go to OC, go to Seacrets! Literally the best place ever if you've never been. I could go every night lol

Poconos are a good destination and close. A little further away is VA beach. It's about a 6 hour drive from Philly. There's a ton of stuff to do.

I think AC, Ocean City MD, Dewey, Philly, or Baltimore would be fun!
