East Coast Beach Bachelorette

Alex, on September 10, 2020 at 2:35 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12
Hi All!
I am looking for suggestions on beach bachelorette locations. I am visioning a beach house where we all can relax, drink, tan, go to the beach obviously, then occasionally go out and explore and maybe check out the bar scene! (Not into clubs though) I live in PA so I’m wondering what would be within a 4-7hour drive?Other than OCMD/NJ or AC.

Have you looked at Virginia Beach? Wilmington? Charleston, SC?

I looked at Wilmington, but I saw a comment on here from someone that lived there saying there isnt much to do there. Charleston, my bridesmaid has her bachelorette there and her cousin lives there so trying to think of something new!

I love Virginia Beach, it's one of our favorite returning holes.

But it really sounds like Wilmington Beach would be a great option - it really has everything you listed you want from a location.

    What about Ocean City, MD?

Have you thought about Montauk or the Hamptons? Rehoboth Beach, DE?

St. Michael's MD doesn't have much of a bar scene, but is super cute and has great shopping, vineyard & brewery, restaurants, etc. From PA, Montauk or the Hamptons could be doable.

Hi I live in Wilmington NC. Ummm yea I’m going to have to agree with whoever said there’s not a lot to do in Wilmington. I mean it’s still nice and before I moved here. We’ve had a couple of bachelorette weekends here. But personally I think Charleston is better.

That was another place I looked at, but OBX and nags head they said you have to drive to everything. Right now we are in between ocmd and virginia beach

OCMD has a very special place in my heart (worked/ lived there for several summers and it's where I met my FH and also where he proposed years later). That said, I definitely recommend you checking out the Delaware beaches north of OC - Rehoboth, Bethany, Fenwick, Lewes, etc. They tend to be cleaner and a little bit more laid back but there's definitely still stuff to do. You could always day-trip it down to OC if you want to. Bonus - no sales tax in Delaware so you save a little bit of money when you go out! Also depending where in PA you live it might be closer.
