East coast brides! mini honeymoon ideas?!

Block Island, RI, Newport, RI, Martha's Vineyard, MA

We considered Canada, ferry from Maine to Nova Scotia, or trip up to PEI.

Newport, RI is beautiful! FH and I went for a day this past summer during a trip to New England and I would love to go back for longer. A quaint little town where everyone was super friendly and the views were stunning. Also a good mix of relaxation and adventure things to do!

We did a mini-moon in Niagara Falls. We flew up to Buffalo and rented a car and drove across to stay at the Canadian side. It was great!

If you stay in Newport, RI you are close enough to travel to Block Island for a day, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard for a day...so many great places to visit near that area...

Newport, RI. I was there after Christmas. It is so beautiful. Try to stay on Thames St.

Cape cod, I have a cottage in Eastham. Its away from the hustle and bustle. Situated right between, provincetown and Hyannis.

Both places have wine vineyards that have tours and tastings. Newport Vineyards and truro Vineyards.

Bar Harbor, ME or the White Mountains in NH.

Outer banks, nc. though im kinda partial... i am getting married there. :p The adirondacks are beautiful too, and a bit closer to you. I love old forge, ny in particular. ive never swam in clearer, more pristine water than the lakes in old forge!

Ditto Bar Harbor in Maine (Acadia National Park is BEAUTIFUL) or the White Mountains of NH. I also recommend Martha's Vineyard i f you want an island to relax on or Cape Cod. Stowe, Vermont is amazing too and you can tour the Trapp Family Lodge (belonging to the Von Trapp family featured in The Sound of Music), the VT Teddy Bear Factory, Ben & Jerry's, etc.

Maine also has White River Rafting if you're into that.

The whole sea coast of Maine/NH is so beautiful! Drive up route 1 or 1a and explore!

Newburyport, MA is also really charming and beautiful, and your right by NH so you can go up to the beaches up there.

Charleston SC!! One of the most romantic cities ever.

The Gazebo Inn in Ogunquit, Maine is the perfect mini honeymoon. So ROMANTIC . We go every year for our anniversary.

Where on the east coast do you live and what are you looking for in a HM (relaxing, sight-seeing, beaches)? It could help us narrow down suggestions considerably.

ETA: I'm always going to suggest my city of Charleston, SC. Its got a little bit of everything - beaches, shopping, history, relaxing plus is beautiful.
