I've been eating clean a few weeks but I haven't lost any weight. I do have a lot more energy though. I feel great and I have practically no cravings. I do have a history of unhealthy restrictive eating and bingeing and purging so I'm trying to do this the healthy way this time. The problem is I haven't lost a pound. I am doing moderate exercise (about 30 mins of running a day). Advice?

Hi guys. I just wanted to give you an update: I haven't weighed myself b/c it was really discouraging me but I did cut the gorp, I have continued to eat healthfully. I tried counting calories but it was really time-intensive and hard to keep up with (mostly because I eat whole foods, not things out of a box with a nutrition label, and it's hard for me to figure out how many calories is in every ingredient, ect.) But I had my final fitting today and the dress fits, it looks AMAZING and l love it. I could afford to lose a little more weight but I definitely wasn't having the problems I was having at the last fitting. The seamstress did a really great job (no, she didn't let it out) she just hemmed the layers. anyway i'm so relieved (imagine not being able to fit into a $2200 dress omg the horror). Anyway I'm so happy and I am still eating really healthfully. I cook almost all my own meals so I know everything that is going into my body is fresh, real ingredients. In case you wanted to know my eating plan, I will tell you that I am doing low-carb (no bread, no crackers, no cereal), high protein (a lot of eggs, fish, beef, chicken, lamb), some black or green tea but no coffee, and no sweets/desserts (the next dessert will be my wedding cake! If that isn't motivation, what is?) i've been off sweets for 3-4 weeks so my cravings for sugar are long gone. And of course I cut peanuts and dried fruit and replaced it with carrot sticks, celery, and cucumber, all raw, or cauliflower, brocolli, or a salad with balsamic vinaigrette. I am still doing some light cardio and a bit of weight training about every other day . Okay well thank you for all the feedback, ladies and gents. You've been a big help!

I wanted to add that I am also drinking a lot of water and I'm drinking only either water or milk, no juice at all, so that I don't drink my calories.

I will be in the minority but you can try the blood type diet. It worked for me. I lost 15 pounds. I had tried juicing, salad only, etc and I would only lose a little. A friend of mine did the rice diet and it worked well for her. My doctor was the one who recommended the blood type diet to me.

Plus whatever diet you pick, remember to do cardio. A little cardio everyday goes a long way.
