Eczema brides?

Alexandria, on May 20, 2019 at 8:46 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4
Any other brides with eczema? I am so worried about a flare-up of eczema before the big day! What did you do to keep the makeup and all from irritating your skin?

I have really bad eczema on my hands. I'm worried about having a flare up and not being able to wear my rings 😭
As for on the face, have you considered getting some natural makeup? At health food stores there's a lot of it, and there are often also testers put out-- you could swatch a bunch and see what your skin does/how it photographs
Otherwise, I'd say just avoid any makeup for weeks before your wedding to give anything time to subside, then just go for it the day of. Alternatively, just wear eye makeup?
Good luck girl. Eczema is the worst!

    Hi Alexandria!

Are there any makeup brands that you have come across that doesn’t tend to make your eczema flare up?

Have you searched online for any makeup or skin care blog posts written by people with eczema? These might give you some product recommendations or practices that might prevent your skin from having a flare-up.

As everyone's skin is different, you may have to go through a bit of trial and error to find something that works for you. Luckily, most makeup stores can offer you small testers of foundation so you will not have to spend a fortune trying to find something that works for your skin.

Thanks for the tip. I did avoid makeup after I saw this and then wore Burt's Bees and it turned out great! Luckily my flare up was gone before the wedding!
