Ok, I found this size chart for Eddie K:

If these measurements are accurate for you (ie, you will need a reduction from the size 10 of 3-4 inches) ... I'm not saying it's impossible - my dress alterations lady is taking 2 inches out of the waist of my dress - but it's quite a bit.
Generally a dress can be taken down 1-3 sizes, depending on the style and the construction. I would think you might end up paying so much for the alterations it might not be worth it - are you able to try it on first, and see how much it needs to be taken in?

I worked in bridal for three years, if you are willing to share your measurements, I’d be happy to help figure out what size would be ideal. Rosie is right- a dress can be taken down 2-3 sizes before it starts looking completely different. I’d recommend having a skilled alterationist lined up before purchasing.
