My wedding is next november and we have chosen eggplant purple and orange. My delimma is which shade of orange. I just cant decide between a softer shade of orange like a peach/orange, or a burnt orange. I also like red roses and orange against a deep purple. makes a bold statement. Anyway, I would...

    If you really want the paler orange then do it and it will look fabulous. Don't worry about whether it is a fall color or not. I am getting married mid-September and my colors are pink and cream. Our leaves don't turn here until October so they will look great at our garden wedding as all the trees will still be green!

    @BreJá B

    For accent colors or the primary? Primary is going to stay EP purple, as for the accent, Im open to suggestions. Ultimately, my FI will probably make the final decision as long as its a choice I give him, he is being waaay more involved than I would have ever dreamed. Most girls would love it, but I think its almost a nightmareSmiley winking

    The first is deep red

    Lime green and purple (but you can go with a paler green to offset the purple)

    Mixture of Deep Red, Purple and Turquoise

    I'm doing a general fall pallet with rust orange as the star. It is my favorite color.

    I'm doing plum as my main color, with tangerine and wysteria. I'm going for more of a "fun/playful/modern" look...obviously I understand that my colors are not elegant by any means haha...but if you wanted to go with more elegant, then I would recommend a burnt orange over a bright one. I wouldn't do a peach orange with the dark eggplant...

    Here's my colors (and BM dresses and shoes)...I love that orange and purple boquet with the tulips - I might have to do something like that, because tulips are one of my favorite flowers!

    Before you decide- don't make the same mistake I did. Go to craft stores and make sure you can get ribbons, paper, cardstock, decor and etc in that color. I fell in love with this lovely shade of pale peach for our wedding. Of course once I went shopping for DIY supplies, I found it's next to impossible to find pale peach anything! I had to switch to pale pink, it was much easier and there are plenty of items available in that color. Just a thought to consider.

    I like both the burnt orange and bright orange with the purple. Tough decision!

    I agree with Clare - if you plan to make DIY or have matching accessories, be sure you can find some with out driving yourself crazy. And have the hall reserved. I've seen brides pick out their colors and then want to change them because they didn't go with the atmosphere of the reception hall or ceremony location.

    with some gold or brown

    with some yellow

    with some red
