Eiffel Tower Vases?

Kayla, on November 9, 2014 at 8:20 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

I am planning on doing a high centerpiece. I am currently on the hunt for eiffel tower vases, at least 24" tall. I am worried about the vases being unstable or toppling over because of the height! Those of you who had/are having tall centerpieces, any advice?

I'm using Eiffel tower vases with clear stones in the bottom and single large hydrenga to line my aisle. You definitely have to play with these vases they can't take a ton of weight

I've read some tips on possibly filling them with sand to add some weight to the bottom. Might try that. I am just terrified of something bad happening! The thought didn't hit me until I received the vases and saw how lightweight they are. Smiley sad

I'm using them as well....speak with your reception venue, but MOST that I saw required that the centerpieces be sitting on a solid surface such as a mirror or piece of glass that is set on top of the table linens to give the base more stability.

When we tested our vases we were really afraid they would not stand the entire night. Plus we are having kids at the reception. Go for the sand or some kind of weight at the bottom. Our centerpieces would have consisted of the vase, a masquerade mask, a large kissing ball, and a few minor things like feathers.

I love Eiffel tower vases. They are pretty sturdy, but it doesn't hurt to wait them down with marbles, rocks, etc.

If you do something with substantial weight, toppling is an issue. They are the most unsturdy of all arrangements.
