Elegant plastic plates for desserts and cake?

Serena, on April 28, 2022 at 2:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

We are having real china (rented) for dinner including silverware, plates, and glasses for champagne...but we have to clean all the dishes after. Because of this, we are trying to avoid cleaning even more real plates which would be for dessert. Real (rented) and plastic (buy) are the same price, but the dish washing is what's stopping us. Would it look tacky to have real dinner plates and all, while having plastic plates at the dessert tables? The plates won't be cheap plastic, more like china look-alike plastic plates. Thanks everyone.

Double check with the rental company because many don’t require you to wash the dishes. You can either stack them as is for pickup or rinse them off without fully washing.

Unless your wedding is an Instagram photo shoot, no one will notice or care if you have plastic or paper plates for cake

I think it’ll be fine. We used these for a semi formal event and they worked out just fine. Elegant plastic plates for desserts and cake? 1

They have elegant looking hard plastic ware with different styles won't break unless someone steps on them really hard. Because if any real China breaks your on the hook for that so why not do away with that headache. And also saves you some money?? I am doing it and they look really nice with my chargers. And besides why put yourself or wedding party or staff washing dishes once we are done it can all go in the trash. Plus we have to be out by 1am and with all of these different variants we just eliminated wondering about germs. Everyone can have a good time enjoy my day. And yes I did want real plates and glassware but then they told me that price tag was🤯🤯 pricey including delivery charge and setup & pick up charge was part of the rental charge. That's when said said politely to the lady thank you for your time. So that's why I am using them look on Esty,Evfavort and Amazon or just type in on your search. I hope that you find what you are look for either way Happy planning

I'm going to detract here. As a guest, I would be put off and a little confused if everything but the dessert was served on china. Plastic just for dessert makes it seem like an afterthought.
