Elope then celebrate?

Nataly, on January 5, 2022 at 6:22 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
I’ve been considering eloping and have a dinner/party after but I can’t picture the night. How would I do that? Elope with our parents/siblings and then meet up at a different location with everyone else? Does anyone have pictures or can someone explain how their day looked like. I want it to feel special and a fun day but I’m lost, not sure what to do.

We eloped last January because neither of us had the time or stamina to do wedding planning with work stress, family stress, Covid stress, etc. My husband and I took a trip to Cancún (my engagement present) and tied the knot on the beach. It was just us, and we totally got to focus on each other and how meaningful the ceremony was to us. We didn’t have to worry about appeasing guests, circulating, or any of those other stressors that could detract from our special day. We are now planning our vow renewal ceremony on our second anniversary for all of our family and friends. Because we’re already married, there’s no stress with planning, just fun! And we have lots of time to get everything just the way we want, plus save up for the epic honeymoon my husband wants. 😉 I know you were thinking of something much closer in time, but really, you can do WHATEVER you want. It’s about you and your FH, and what you believe would make your marriage the most special! Good luck!Elope then celebrate? 1
