Has anyone ever gotten eloped?
I will be doing it before the year ends. Advice, opinions, etc?

We eloped in an outdoor garden ceremony with 7 people. Wore my wedding dress. Had reception at our apartment. Had wedding cake from shoprite, food catered, had a photographer and even did a first look

I am having an intimate ceremony with two friends. What exactly would you like to know? Have you researched elopements on google? You get some great ideas.

My sister eloped in December. She engaged like a before and they decided just to go and get married. She was fighting with my parents at the time so they found out she was engaged via Facebook. She texted my mom after the got to tell her. My parents were extremely hurt so my advice is tell your loved ones your plan that way you don't cause a lot of hurt feelings. After she got married, she also sent out announcement cards asking for money which is totally rude so I wouldn't recommend doing something like that.

My partner and I have told our family and have the support. Which is amazing because I don’t need the drama. But it was definitely rude. I hope all is well!

I have looked at so much stuff but at this point I’m just looking at the way people have done it and made it special for them. Just to get some ideas. Pinterest and blogs can only do so much 😂

We eloped in our living room in June, only 2 of us with the laptop, the county clerk and their provided witness.

My only advice to you is make it how you want it. People will think elopements as just a quick little I Do. Make it as wedding like or as un wedding like as you want. I would say think of what you want and then do it. I wanted a dress, cake, bouquet and photographers and my best friend as my MOH and I am having it.

If we have to cancel our planned ceremony and reception in September, we will elope with just us, our kids, and our photographer. I’d probably get a simpler dress, because we’d be hiking, andOnce we found a good spot we would have our mini ceremony (probably just reading personal vows to each other), and then have a picnic and cake. In CO you aren’t required to have an occupant our witnesses, so slipping here is super simple. Good luck!

Elopements are THE BEST because you can plan exactly what you want!!! Wear your prefect dress! Hire a photographer! Pop open the champagne! All of it. Get married in an enchanted forest or on a sandy beach, a mountain peak with puffy clouds all behind or at the movie theater where you shared your first kiss? Or maybe get married in a library or chapel or on a rooftop. There are so many options! I can’t wait to see what you decide! Elope 1

I just did on Tuesday! I didn't wear my actual wedding dress - I'm saving that for our big wedding in May. I just ordered one on Lulus to wear. I had my husband's cousin, who does flowers, make me a bouquet and table arrangement. Our photographer also came to take photos. We just went to a nearby park to do the ceremony and went back to his parent's place for dinner.
