Elopement ideas!

Elena, on July 3, 2017 at 8:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 30

My fiancé and I have decided to forget the whole wedding spiel and elope. My sister gave me the idea she reminded me that she eloped at a bed and breakfast and they and they stayed there for a couple of days. so I was wondering if anyone knew about a bed and breakfast or a hotel that offers elopement packages that include photography etc.. thinking of going somewhere in the U.S. that has amazing views (mountains, crystal clear lakes) just beautiful. Now, we want to go in December because will have days off then so I know that if I want a place like that it will be cold as long it's not like negative -5 lol.

I'm picturing in my mind I want breath taking natural view.We don't have those in Florida and I feel by doing this we get to travel and go somewhere we haven't while it being intimate and romantic.

Any recommendations?

Tennessee Smoky Mountains are gorgeous! There are chapels in Gatlinburg that offer these kinds of things for elopements... I'm not sure if it's a bed and breakfast. But there are cheap cabins you can get on VRBO in the area!

I agree with a cruise, they tend to have really affordable packages! We also just photographed a wedding in Cancun a few months ago at an all-inclusive and most of the wedding was included just with their room rates for so many nights! There are so many great options Smiley smile

Although, I would seriously caution against using any 'all-inclusive' photographers. They tend to be lack luster and have the worst customer experience. With all the money you'd be saving by eloping, I would at least looking into making sure it's documented well! (I'm obviously a tad biased Smiley winking) Congrats!!

Jackson Hole Valley in Wyoming is gorgeous! Though I'm sure it's cold in December. But it meets all your other requirements!

My dad and step mom got married at a winery in Missouri but I'm not sure if it was a package thing.

My local area sucks if you live here, but I've heard great things about the Poconos. (Never really been even though its close) The mountains are fabulous in the winter, and i know there are a couple places that do what you want.

The Blue Ridge Mountains in SC/NC are gorgeous! I don't know of specific places, but I'm positive there are elopement options at B&Bs somewhere!

Timberline lodge in Oregon offers a good elopement package with the option to add on photography! Sits right on the mountain with year round skiing!

I second Lake Tahoe, or even San Diego if you want a beach wedding. It is still decent weather in SD in December, and we are using a company that has elopement packages. They do the photography, officiant, your beach permit, file your license, clean up, and do your bouquet and decorations if you need any. I follow them on Facebook so I know their pics are beautiful. Here is their website, just in case:

I am obviously biased, but my venue Christopher Place in Newport, Tennessee sounds like it's exactly what you're looking for! It's a gorgeous B&B about 45 minutes north east of Gatlinburg. They specialize in elopements and small weddings.

One of my absolute favorite weddings I've seen here was in Sedona, AZ last winter. It was really small, like immediate family only, and insanely gorgeous.
