We're going on a 2 week elopement/honeymoon in Greece October of 23. Cannot wait! I just started dress shopping but haven't found the dress yet. We've booked our trip, photographer, and venue of sorts (outdoor spot for a few minute vow exchange)

We're having a very private elopement (like photographers as our witnesses private) in the redwoods next month! We sent out announcements instead of invitations and set up a cash-only Zola registry to fund our 2 week elopement/vacation/honeymoon.

I would love to see a picture or your inspiration for your announcement. We haven't decided how we're going to do ours yet. Neither of us are changing our names so the wording gets weird.

We're eloping for a long weekend, October 28 - 31! We'll actually be getting married on the 29th!

Chris' ring showed up not even a half hour after I said it was coming early! It's gorgeous! We're 130 days out and I'm so damn emotional. We both have been through so much in life and it still seems surreal that this is happening.

We're still over a year out, October of 23 here. Not much planning going on right now. Just monthly payments to our photographer and starting to look at dresses 😊

I know Rachel sent out announcements. Josie, are you announcing before or after? I think we've decided to tell our parents beforehand, but announce to everyone else, including our children, when we get back. His son (15) isn't the most stable person and, due to his behavior when we bought a house together, we are not taking the chance of him ruining our day.

My boys are 15 and 12. They already see us as married and they love Chris. They complained about having to dress up and be part of their dad's wedding, so I know they won't mind missing ours.

How fitting it is that we’re standing here, in nature, tucked away from the rest of the world, about to become husband and wife. Nothing about our relationship has been traditional. I think I can safely say that we've always done things our own way. I love that about us. From the day we met, at The Dollar Tree, and our first kiss, in the parking lot, less than 5 minutes later, we quickly became inseparable. Not long after we met, my life took some very challenging turns. You took care of me, when I wasn’t able to take care of myself. I remember the exact moment I realized I loved you…laying in your bed… in the middle of the day, wearing your t-shirt (quite a few sizes too big for me), no make-up, my hair a mess and puffy eyes from crying for days. You laid down beside me, put your arms around me and said nothing. You just held me. In that moment, with all of the uncertainty I was facing and all of the decisions I wasn’t quite ready to make, I felt completely safe. That was the moment I knew, that no matter what life had in store for us, we could conquer anything as long as we had each other.

You are the most selfless, loving, honest, genuine, amazing man I have ever known.

Chris, you know I overthink *everything*, but standing here, with you, pledging my eternal love, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.

I promise to show you I love you every day. In words, in glances, in kisses and in every adventure we take together.

I promise to remain beside you on your best days, and on your worst, because we’re a team and you will never be alone.

I promise to continue the ongoing debate over which one of us is luckier to have the other, which I know will never end because I whole-heartedly believe that we are both the lucky ones.

We did not go with a planner for Greece but we're also getting married outside in a pretty spot, we're not doing flowers, etc. We aren't using any vendors other than our photographer. I would recommend a planner for vendors just for peace of mind!


We're getting married legally here in the states and doing a symbolic ceremony just the two of us in Greece. Way way easier and cheaper!

If you're not happy, do what makes you happy. We don't have a planner, but I LOVE to plan things.
