*This is primarily for people in Virginia because that's were my FH and I live.
About a month and half ago my FH and I decided to postpone our wedding until next year because of COVID, but we're wanting to get legally married this year. A lot of the courthouses in the area say on their websites that they're happy to issue marriage licenses, but they wont marry people. So I can either check every single courthouse in the state (which I really don't want to do), or put together some kind of micro wedding. There seem to be a lot of "micro wedding" and "elopement" companies around but they want $2-5k, which is WAY more than we want to spend.
I did contact the celebrant that we hired for the original ceremony but I'm waiting to hear back. So in an effort to keep my options open I'm going to keep searching Google. But if anyone has any advice or ideas I'm all ears, thanks in advance.
