Eloping with a bride's attendant

Zamora, on July 14, 2019 at 11:04 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
My fiance and I have picked a wedding dare and after months of discussions, we decided to elope. We recently moved back to our hometown and will get married here so was a small part of our choice. We wanted to do the courthouse / justice of peace but since we want to get married on a Saturday we just decided to elope. My question is though, I originally had a bridal party and everything planned out and I still want to at least have a maid of honor, is that weird or unnecessary since we'll be eloping? And if not how do I break it to my other close friends that they won't be "apart" of my wedding in that way.

It’s still fine to have a bridal party, but if you choose not to, just let them know that unfortunately plans have changed and it will be just the two of you. Maybe you can include them in a pre-wedding mani/pedi, massage, or helping you get ready.

It's ok to have a bridal party there still. After all you need a witness anyway right? Bridal party members are those who support you.
