Emailing save the dates

Celia, on January 18, 2012 at 4:04 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 2

Have any of you sent save the dates over email? I'm thinking of printing a few STDs for older guests and immediate family but the rest I'll email... My question is, do I just send the JPEG attachment with "Save the Date" in the subject or should I write something in the email? What do y'all think?

I emailed mine! Wouldn't change a thing...it was very well received. For the guests who didn't have email addresses, I printed them and mailed them. I would NOT send it as an attachment, because it can get lost in people's spam filters! I embedded mine into the body of the email...so when they open it, they see it right away...no attachment so no spam!

My subject said "Save the Date! Katie and Jason - June 9, 2012"

    Here's what mine looked like...

Thanks! yeah I was afraid of sending it as an attachment because of the possibility of it ending up in spam and I thought you couldn't add images to emails on gmail but I finally figured out how to do it! Thank you!

so no extra text? just the image?
