Hey Beautiful Brides and Brides to Be! I am new soon to be bride and my wedding in 2 years away! I am a wedding and event planner so that gives me enough time to do what I want and actually make it perfect for the both of US! I am very much overwhelmed already I’ve been engaged for 1 years last week and I just made up in my mind that I might not have a wedding party! ( brides~mates) I did have a engagement announcement and I have picked my bridesmaids but some of them didn’t show and I never really heard from them and some got COVID on their brains but guess what I’m not mad! I never thought to plan a wedding without them but who really needs them when it’s me and him to get married? Also I’m here to just vent! But I finally figure out my theme and maybe some of the colors ! But I don’t wanna hear what people have to say! So how do I really block people out! I mean I was good at it when planning other people’s just not my own! Congratulations to you all! Please talk to me because I feel trapped ! Smh

Hi Tamese!
Congrats on your one year engagement. Where are you originally from?
I recommend you not tell others your plans if you don't want to hear what they have to say. I had to do the same thing.

Hello and Thank you! I am from PA and it just seem like everyone upset cause I waited this long to get married and they are Miserable with what they have ! So no bride~mates for me! I just answered my own comment! It is what it is and isn’t want it is not! 😩

Congrats and welcome to the WW forums! Just remember that this is your wedding day and your vision needs to shine through, not everyone else's visions or expectations. It's perfectly fine to not have bridesmaids or a bridal party if that's what makes you more comfortable!
Just don't discuss much of wedding planning with anyone. Or if you do, discuss it with your future spouse or someone you trust. People will try and sway you to do things their way, but keep reminding yourself that it's you and your future spouse's day!

Thanks so much and I appreciate that and you never lied about it! I will talk to my more with my husband to be; overall he is my best friend! Just a group of girls sounded so awesome! But I see differently after today! I am really excited ! I found my perfect dress🖤 I appreciate you!

Awwwwwww congratulations mom! I appreciate you and that’s my route! I have bride sashes now! It’s a sash only wedding ! So if you don’t have one I don’t even care and I’m even on giving those out! I am so happy for your daughter ! I will be married next💙💕🥰🎶

1) Don't share anything on any social media platform. Nothing. People will want to give advice (then get mad when you don't take it) or expect to be invited.
2) I had my two college age sons as my Best Men - they had to listen to me, lol
3) Just remember: No one is as excited for your wedding as you.
