Engaged with bridal set

My engagement ring came with a wedding band already. After looking at how thin the band actually is, we decided to solder the band it came with to it to make it all one ring as just a double banded e ring. We picked out an enhancer for the wedding band part and together they look beautiful!
Did anyone else do anything like this with thinner bands?
