Engagement makeup

It's totally up to you. Some brides pair up a makeup trial with their engagement pictures while many wear their everyday makeup.

I think it's a personal decision. I did my own makeup for my engagement photos and it worked out very well. But if you're worried then you can always get yours done professionally (it certainly doesn't have to be the same person who will do your makeup for the wedding).

If you’re not 100% on board with your abilities, get someone to do it for you. You don’t want to spend that $$$ just to regret how your makeup looks. Does your sister have someone she can recommend?

It's up to you. I would choose the path that I had the most confidence in that my make-up would be done to my satisfaction

If you’re feeling unsure about your skills, then yes of course... hire a pro makeup artist. That will be easier than retaking e-pics.

One thing you could do if you aren't comfortable doing your own makeup is visit somewhere like Sephora first and see what kind of makeup artists they have there that could help you day of. My makeup artist works for a Sephora, so she actually meets a lot of her clients through working and they tend to be a little cheaper, but still do a nice job.

I did my own makeup for our engagement shoot, but I'm VERY comfortable doing my makeup myself because I do it all the time.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the great advice, I think I will either use a service or just make sure I practice ahead of time and learn how to do basic things right like contouring etc. But ill just feel it out as it gets closer.
