View Quoted Comment Thank you. Yeah a lot of places I’ve checked have like 2500 and over food and drink minimums, and I’ve checked a lot so far.
I‘m shocked cause a lot of the places I have dined at for over 12 years and never knew it would be that expensive to have a small engagement party. It’s like ridiculous. I have no idea what happened to leaving a deposit to use a space in a restaurant because you’ll be buying food and drinks already! That’s how it used to be.

Usually restaurants will hold a section for you! Maybe just reserve a big patio section on a Houston rooftop! Or beautiful Mexican place with a greenery filled patio. That's what I did and it cost NOTHING for the venue. We only bought apps and drinks and it didn't cost too much!
