Hi! I wanted to share our story with anyone stressing over a large guest list. We were planning a wedding with 300+ invitations. It was becoming more expensive than we imagined. 2 days before the engagement party my parents were hosting, we (parents included) decided to scratch the formal production that was our march wedding & surprise all of our guest by getting married on the front porch. In 48 hours we changed the menu, expedited and overnighted my wedding dress, got a DJ, a Photobooth, Flowers, his tux, a wedding cake, hair, makeup & nail appointments, bridesmaid/grooms & parent gifts, violinist and trumpet players for the ceremony, & so much more. We greeted everyone for 30 minutes then changed. Called the wedding party in to each of our rooms telling them the big news while the guest were directed to the front. We shocked the wedding party & guest by giving up the large wedding for a more intimate less expensive ceremony and it was perfect!
