Engagement party?

April, on January 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
Hello! Me and my fiancé do not want to have a bachelor or bachelorette party because that is just not us. We are best friends and we want to be together but we want to invite our close friends to do something we just don’t know what! We do not drink, so no bars or anything of the sort. We just want to go somewhere and celebrate our relationship with some friends. We’re thinking dinner? Or top golf? Throw me some ideas! 💜

We also are not doing parties for either side. We are renting a cabin in the woods for a weekend and having the bridal/groom party and our parents and just spend time together camping.

That is such an amazing idea! Sadly we get married February 13 and don’t have much time, or money to do something like that. We are considering waiting until after the wedding and then getting together with everyone.

Top golf would be fun, but it can be VERY pricey! Somewhere that has arcade games and bowling would be really fun! Mini golf, go carts, something like that? You could even have a game night where everyone brings a different board game!

Before we eloped, we reserved a small restaurant and invited friends over for lunch. The restaurant offered karaoke and I am surprised how many friends were willing to sing 😉

Oh, I totally understand! My fiancee and I are planning on going on a little weekend trip with our grooms and bridesmaids. We're in the same boat as you, we're 23 and we do not drink at all! While our friends indulge in social drinking from time to time, we'd prefer to do something where we don't feel uncomfortable, so we thought about doing a small beach trip to Cali.

I don't drink, and I still had a fun bachelorette - my friends took me to Midieval Times!

We also did a *co-ed* trip, where two of our friends took us to our favorite baseball team, for DH's favorite player's retirement.

So... you can do whatever you want, it doesn't have to be what TV says it should be.

What about a fun game night? Have you heard of JackBox games? It's a blast, and everyone can do it on their phones which share to a screen, so it would be less contact too. You could do your fave snacks and center them around your relationship and memories with your shared group of friends. More affordable, more intimate!
