I think this would be fine! However, I would make sure to hold the party during a non-meal time (maybe from 2pm to 4pm, or from 8pm to 10pm, etc).

7pm might be considered a meal time to some people, so I would specify on the invitations what will be provided. If you're providing drinks and appetizers, you could word it as something along the lines of, "Join us for appetizers and drinks as we celebrate the engagement of [name] and [name]!"
