Engagement party

We're having a non-traditional engagement party in that we're having two since neither of our families know our friends, they're in two completely different places and our friends and family are in three different locations also, we're paying for both. Is it rude to ask that these be "adults only" events since there won't be anything for the kids to do for the three and a half hours?

The only reason I feel like it's a toss up is because I know my kids will be there and I know how they act around people. To be fair, though, my kids are also going to be part of our ceremony and dancing into the reception with the rest of our bridal party. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think I just would feel bad bc most of my bridal party has kids and I know mine are all going to be there. I guess I shouldn't feel guilty about it since they're in the bridal party, though.
