Engagement Photo Hair

So our engagement photos are this Sunday and it's supposed to be 90 degrees. I had planned to just wear my hair down with some romantic curls, but I don't think they (or I) will survive the heat. Did anyone else do an updo for their engagement photos? Or does anyone have tips for some easy updos I can do myself? I'm sure it's too late to book an appointment anywhere.

How long is your hair? What kind of outfit are you wearing? Personally, I tend to go towards braids when I need my hair out of my face, but for engagement pictures, I'd want more volume. Probably a cute bun with a braid wrap. But my hair is long. Also, you'd be surprised. I managed to get my hair done as a walk in for prom. Call around and see, if you're up for getting it done professionally. Try your local Ulta, even, or other chain places. I don't remember which one, but it was a chain that managed my prom hair.

In the event you can't figure out an appropriate up-do, is there someplace near the photo shoot that is air conditioned, where you can hunker down in the cool until the shoot starts? That way, at least your hair would maybe survive longer.

I’m going to have the opposite problem for mine tomorrow: rain! My natural curls are going to fwooomp into a ball of frizz. Can you go nuts with the hair spray? I’m thinking it’ll be extra gel and an anti-humectant for me!

    Hey Caytlyn!

Do you have long hair? I found some really pretty 'messy bun' styles that could look really pretty, and your hair wouldn't make you too hot either. I've added pictures below.

I also recommend a braid if your hair is long enough. I had my hair and makeup professionally done for the e-pics and chose a side braid because I knew even if it got wet or messy from the snow it would still look decent.
