Engagement Photo Outfit Help

Alright. Help!

So I've added pics of what I think I want to wear. Help me out with the gentleman's apparel and my accessories.

Teal shirt.
Considering:
Jeans or Black Jeans
Long black cami
A cardigan
Maybe a belt to help my waist?

What should I have him wear?
Colors and shirt type suggestions welcome.

Black Dress
Considering:
Belt to define my waist.
Might be shiny black
Might be black with a large skull

I have no idea what shoes to wear.
I usually wear knee high boots and leggings with this dress. But engagement photos are in june.

I'm ok with a little extra warmth for a bit. But will it look odd?

I have very toned but large calves, but my ankles meeting my calves make my legs look gigantic. And honestly, I dont think I've worn heels in 12 years.

How should the fiance dress?
Shirt type and color suggestions welcome.

I think having him wear something like this with your teal top - I think something not matching, but complimentary like this would be super cute! I also love the idea of jeans on you and a lighter pant on him.
I really like the shoes that the model is wearing in the picture with the black dress! You could also look for something super crazy and fun for the summer - there are some really cute and colorful sandals that you could base his outfit colors on if you wanted?
This is just an example of something crazy that would still look cute with your black dress!

My initial reaction was that the top and the dress are too similar. They have the exact same scooped neckline and both have strips/ropes of fabric criss-crossing the chest. I think I would chose one of the two (I like them both!) and pick something different for your second outfit.

Hi Mandi! I love the color of the teal shirt, it's really pretty.
I don't think it's too important that you and your SO match, but complimenting colors look great. What would his typical outfit be? A button up shirt and a pair of jeans could look really good. It would be smart but not too formal.
If the weather is going to be warm for your shoot, you could wear a cute pair of sandals with the dress, you definitely don't have to wear heels with it if you don't want to!

A Star Wars shirt is his go to... I'm going to make him spruce it up a little.

I haven't figured out the where yet. I trust my photographer with her creative process. So we will see where she tells us to go.
