Engagement Photo Shoot

This was our outfits. We got a lot of compliments and I love how it worked with the sunset.

Our first outfit was me in a royal blue dress with my FH in khakis and a white-ish grey dress button down with blue accents in the shirt and his tie. Our second outfit I was in jeans and a bold green blouse and he was in jeans and a black and white striped shirt. I'll post them when we get them back!

Our colors are gray, sparkly silver, lavender and plum. I wore a black lace top and a plum colored skirt with black heels and FH wore a gray button up and a dark pair of jeans with black dress shoes.

Here's our pallet! We have burgundy and blush as our main wedding colors with a little navy and white and natural greenery/bark. Our theme for the wedding is sort of a woodsy romantic fairytale. Our STDs are being sent in burgundy envelopes with blush wax seals and silver writing!

These were our outfits. Chose these based off of what FH was comfortable wearing. He doesn’t like dressing up or photo shoots (he’s not being bratty, he toughs it out but I wanted him to enjoy it) got my dress very affordable off of amazon and FH’s from Marshall’s.

Only thing I would change is dress for the weather/background. It was early spring so everything was still dead looking behind us- it would’ve looked better with more winter style outfits.

We went with blue, he had a little blue in his shirt and I wore a blue dress, they turned out so perfect!

We picked out his outfit first and I got a dress that kind of went with it. I think the most important thing is being comfortable. I would just say wear things that compliment the other. And I would definitely recommend something flowy, it adds movement to the pictures.

We did one dressier set of outfits (navy lacy dress and heels/grey slacks, blue light blue button down, dress shoes) and then a more casual set of outfits shown in my avatar (maroon sweater, dark jeans, and boots/grey quarter zip pullover sweater, khakis, casual leather boots).

This was ours! No specific color pattern, just tried to pick things that wouldn’t clash haha

My best advice, is wear something that you feel comfortable in, so that you will be relaxed for the shoot.

Ha ha, I just picked what I wanted to wear, then he got dressed at the last minute.

I honestly, didn't put much thought into it, because I'm not a fan of being in front of a camera. I think the beautiful background saved us

Navy and burgundy - same as our wedding colors.

Besides the suit we didn’t really focus on matching. Just what we felt comfortable in. I did t find the shirt to wear until the day before.

We kept blues as our theme since my ring is aquamarine! Plus, blue is my favorite color! We did a little bit dressed up in one area and more relax clothes in another area.

Navy and maroon! I'll wear a long maroon dress and he'll wear a navy suit with maroon accents for the nicer outfit. The other one will be an ivory blouse with skinny jeans for me and a maroon button up for him.

I looked at Pinterest for inspiration and really fell in love with a red/ivory combination for the girl and black for the guy. Plus, I knew for our background, the red would really pop.

Casual Outfits"Formal" outfits- which really weren't formal at all. I would equate them to "date night" styles

We didn't focus on the color palette at all! I just found a dress I liked, and that I thought looked good on me. FH picked his outfit that morning, but he tried to match me, color wise. I think we did pretty good!

My main goal was to fell comfortable, as I don't really like pictures of myself. To feel comfortable, I had to wear something that would hide the parts of me that I don't like (namely, my belly), and was flattering. I feel good about how they turned out. Just be yourself, and you'll be fine.
