Engagement Photo Shot List

To be completely honest with you, though it's nice to look at Pinterest for ideas...pictures should be natural. All of my favorite pictures we had were super natural. A lot of the time "favorite poses" look forced and I would try to keep them to a minimum.

I never went in with a shot list, but make sure to ask to do a couple solo shots of you and FH.

We didn't do e-pics but I agree with Heather A - Pinterest is a great resource for cute photo ideas

We are doing ours next month, and our photographer said pretty much to not worry about the "Pintrest Poses" and he's well aware of them, and will TRY to keep the staging in mind, but it will depend on the actual moment hes snapping the shot, so I'm not bothering with a list.

What we did talk to him about what I was looking for in photos (I said I wanted some portrait/stage, some candid, and definitely fun and creative) and that's about it, the rest was up to him, and so far he's got some great ideas.

Basically, what I'm saying is to let the professionals to their job. Sure, give a few pose ideas that you have seen, but let them do what you are paying them for

We went into it without a shot list, Our photographer walked us around the city and took pictures, didn't tell us when to smile or when to look serious, just took casual pictures that weren't terribly posed.

I agree with Heather. My favorite of my e-pics was when FH and I weren't paying attention and we were laughing and the photographer caught the moment. It was the most natural and flattering of both of us.
