Engagement Photos Next Week - Makeup Ideas

I'm the same as you, my daily makeup consists of eyeliner, mascara, and something to fill in my eyebrows. For our engagement photos I did my normal makeup, plus my attempt at a little eyeshadow (which you can't hardly see) and a dark lipstick. This is my go to "fancy/night out" type makeup, so I was comfortable doing it. I loved how they turned out, but I'll definitely do a different look for the wedding day! The only advice I have is not to stray too far out of your comfort zone, simply because you'll still want to look and feel like yourself

If you usually just do eyeliner and mascara, I would add some light eyeshadow, blush and lipstick to give your face some dimension for the camera.

On a typical day, I don't wear makeup at all. If I feel like I'm looking a little worn, I'll throw on some BB cream, blush, and mascara. That being said, I went all out for my engagement photo makeup. My photographers actually suggested having professional makeup done because the high quality cameras will show everything. I'm so glad I ended up going a little bolder than normal because it translated amazingly in the photos. I always say that on my wedding day I want to look like the most beautiful version of my authentic self. I don't wear much makeup on a regular basis, so I'm striving for a pretty minimal, fresh, natural look with my wedding makeup.

I would have no problem doing a full face of glam makeup for a different special event (like if I was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding and that was the look they wanted), but for my own wedding looking and feeling like me is important.
