Engagement Photos Outfit

I’m wearing an African Ankara gown I’m trying to get my FH to wear either lederhosen or a kilt to represent his heritage like I am but we wants to wear a plain button up and chinos 😢

We did two different looks. I got my short dress from Nordstrom (Lily Pulitzer) and my long dress from Lulu's.

We had two outfits! One was more "dressy," and one was more casual. It was so stressful, trying to pick what to wear! We were still deciding an hour before we had to leave for the shoot haha. I think the main thing is making sure that you try on the outfits together and see how they look TOGETHER before making the decision. You don't want to wear something that clashes

This is what we did! Our main wedding colors are burgundy and champagne

Here was our outfits. I bought my dress 1st and then we went to go look for shirts for my fiance so that we could coordinate the outfit.

These were the two dresses I wore. We actually might have a third session now that we’re planning on changing photographers so I’m not sure what kind of vibe we’ll do next.

We went with something in between dressy and casual. My sweet aunt let me borrow her authentic squash blossom and it really made my outfit come together. I feel like a kimono or duster can really dress up just about anything.
