Engagement Photos & Party

We had our engagement photos done in October and we got married in July. We didn't have an engagement party, but they are usually hekt within the first few months of being engaged.

We were engaged in December, had our engagement party in January, and our engagement photos in May.

My daughter got engaged in May and the engagement party was in September. I would have had it earlier, but her fiancé is in the military and was away for a little. Engagement parties are usually within a few months I think.


They had engagement pics don’t the July after they were engaged, but are having another session this week (they got engaged in 2019 and are getting married in 6/2022). They want photo save the dates and their engagement session from 2019 is now two years old. In addition, engagement sessions are included in their wedding package so why not have them redone? Lol

We didn’t have an engagement party, but we got engaged in July 2018, had our photos done in June 2019, and got married in September 2020 (originally planned for July 2020). Perfect spacing to keep the excitement up during our long engagement.

We got engaged in March 2020, so no engagement party. We plan to do our engagement photos this fall. We're getting married in Aug 2023, so about 1 year out.

We had engagement celebrations within a week of being engaged. Our wedding is March 2022, and we took our engagement photos this past weekend! (Mid May) because we want to use them for our STDs!

We didn't have an engagement party, but we took our engagement photos 9 months before our wedding. This allowed us to use the photos for our save the dates, which we sent out about 8 months out

We did our engagement photos around 7 months before our wedding.

We did not have an engagement party.

We got engaged in November 2019 and had our engagement photos in December 2020. We wanted to use our photos for the Save the Dates so we had some time to get them back by doing them in December, plus it had the look we wanted to go with. I'd suggest picking a time of year you want the photos done and timing it out with when you will send out Save the Dates if you're sending them out and planning to have one of your photos on it.
