Hello Pennsylvania Brides!

I am am not from PA but live here now and we are planning our engagement photos- a little late but we’re finally doing it! I’m just stuck on picking a location because I’m not from here I have NO CLUE where would be great. I’m in southern York county area so I’d love an tips on great places. We are looking to travel up to 150 miles one way.

We are looking to do something city like with old historic buildings, bridges, parks, some stuff like that. I’d really appreciate ANY help!

Hi WinterMarie! Have you hired a photographer yet? They should have great local suggestions!

Philadelphia has some beautiful old places! Elfreth's Alley is the nation's oldest residential street, or you can get the classic LOVE photo.

My fiance and I did our engagement photos by Kelly Drive/the Art Museum. Even in gross rainy weather, they turned out beautiful. There's a beautiful park, gazebos, or the architecture of the museum. Here are a couple of ours, to give you an idea. (Sorry for the giant pics!)

I don’t know how far you are from the Poconos but there’s some pretty cool places near me. Old water mills, mountain overlooks are amazing! And I’m sure since it’s a tourist area you can find plenty of different things on the internet about the area so you can find something at your own pace. Areas I can think of off the top of my head that are incredible: knobhill overlook, Mt pocono pa (I specifically can’t use this one and it kinda upsets me, it’s where my fiancée proposed to his last gf) bushkill falls (did the hike with him and his 7year old. It’s kinda rough in some spots but I have pictures of the 2 hour trail if ya want to see them), camel back mountain (there is an overlook there, I believe I have some pics but it was really windy!), there is a distribution company near me, weiler that has beautiful landscaping! So many people take pictures there!) Bangor mountain is another one. It’s a retreat center or something. I don’t remember the exact name of it but soo many picture options!!!

We took our engagement photos at Galer Estate Vineyards near Kennett Square, PA. If you know where Longwood Gardens is, it is right next to it. The staff was very accommodating and our pictures came out amazing!

I am from/live in Southern York County. Longwood Gardens is beautiful! If you are looking for old historic buildings I would try Gettysburg. You can take your time and it's open to the public.
