Torrid has some really cute things right now! I wore a skater dress for us, but they have dresses, jackets, you name it.

Be sure to wear layers, not just for warmth, but also style. Maybe wear a peacoat with a cute scarf and matching sweater underneath (leave the coat open for style) with some jeans and knee high boots. Or wear a sweater with a vest over it. Layers help define body types as long as they fall at a length that suits your body. I'm also a believer that everyone looks good in high waisted A-line skirts and dresses.

When it comes to your outfit, you should absolutely make sure that you are confident and comfortable in your choice. You don’t want to not feel like yourself during your shoot. What style photos do you want? Formal or more casual? Don’t forget that you can absolutely do both and have an outfit change if you wish too!!

Cute sweater and leggings. A black velvet dress is always pretty and slimming.....

Torrid has these SUPER soft really cute flannel leggings right now (in red and black) that would look cute with boots. They also have a lot of blingy holiday tops, including a champagne/rose gold blazer/shrug combo that could look killer with those leggings or a pair of Bombshell jeans. It could give you a combination casual/dressy vibe and you'd stay pretty warm.

AND their best piece (in my opinion) right now for winter is their charcoal ruana with faux fur trim. It makes you look and feel like Belle from Beauty & the Beast. I bought it and am obsessed with it. It has a hood!! I keep thinking about how cute I'm gonna look in it when it snows out! Pair it with some leggings and boots and you're all set for a winter photo shoot. I believe they'll be having a good sale for Black Friday, too.
