Engagement Photos

The first inspo is outfits! Do you like more casual outfits or dressy outfits for photos? From there is was our photographer who actually came up with all the poses we just showed up!

I loved the way our engagement pictures turned out! Dressy look was a long chiffon skirt off Amazon and a flowy bodysuit from Express for me and a button down and slacks for my fiancé. Casual was jeans, cami, and lace overlay for me (all items I owned) and jeans and a flannel for fiancé. We took our pictures at a farm that had olive groves, lavender fields, and an oak orchard.

I did mine inside a museum. My friend did hers in an ice cream shop and I think that’s super cute like a literal date

FH and I first met when we were kids, so we decided to go back to our hometown to get married, which is about 30 miles from where we live now. For our engagement photos, we went back to our hometown, not to the venue (golf course), but to downtown, where we both have so many memories. It was a small-ish town when we grew up, so we went to the main street in downtown, and took photos in front of some of our favorite restaurants, and hangouts. It was really fun, and now we have photos of where our love started many years ago!

Pinterest is your best friend for engagement inspo! We did ours in a historic town and marina in North Carolina!

View Quoted Comment We can do outdoors, just not at restaurants, museums, etc. it would have to be like in the woods or somewhere secluded. I live in a busy city so my photographer is checking into some options for us.

View Quoted Comment I totally feel you. We were planning on doing our engagement photos in our city because our wedding will be in a more natural setting. But due to the restrictions on businesses in our area that’s not going to happen, at least this month. We have our engagement session scheduled for May. I hope the restrictions for small businesses are lifted til then!
