I took my engagement photos maybe 8 months before my wedding

We got engaged July 2019, and didn't take our engagement photos until last weekend (June 2020). Our wedding was supposed to be July 31, 2020, but we recently postponed to either 2021 or 2022 (haven't finalized a date yet). We took our engagement photos later than most because we hired our photographer Fall 2019, and didn't have time to take fall pictures, so we decided to wait until spring. ...And then COVID happened, so the pictures kept getting delayed until we finally took them last weekend.

We took ours in the fall six months after we got engaged. It was a year before our wedding.

We took ours 9 months before wedding, 4 months after engagement.

We did ours 8 months after being engaged. It was supposed to be 7 but covid.

We’re doing ours about a year before so that the season in the pictures matches the wedding season and so that we can use them on our website and whatnot. Right now, the website is basically done but completely private because we have no pictures lol

We got engaged October 2018 and set a date for this September. We did our photos at the end of September last year because we wanted the fall leaves. Depends what you want to use the photos for. If for save the dates, maybe do them 6-8 months before so you get them back with time to spare. If for personal enjoyment - whenever!

We tools ours the beginning of May. It was about 5.5 months before the wedding. Also 3 months after he proposed.
