Engagement photos

Check out Lulu's, local department stores, and Amazon! I love the idea of a dress for one outfit, and a casual outfit for the second option. Make sure whatever you pick is something you feel comfortable and confident in, as that confidence will show up in the photos!

We are doing exactly your idea. Here is what we decided on previously, but now that we’ve had to reschedule the outfits may change if the weather isn’t warm.

I ordered my outfits on Amazon... easy to return anything I didn't like. I decided on these 3 outfits and we're looking next weekend for his to coordinate. Our engagement photos are 11/6 and these are our wedding cookies. He'll be wearing green/tan/ivory with jeans and doesn't wanna change as much as I will be. We'll change a thing or two for each shot for him.

I'm also struggling with what to wear. Ours are being taken on the 30th and I have a dress that I thought I wanted to wear for one outfit but it's a wrap dress and I don't love it on me, so I'm looking for something similar but not a wrap and better for my body type. And the other outfit I want something more casual, maybe jeans a sweater and booties but honestly I'm struggling with finding anything I like. My fiance will likely just throw slacks and a nice shirt on for the ones with me in a dress and jeans and a polo for the more casual.

I bought a long chiffon skirt from Amazon and paired it with a flowy bodysuit from Express. He wore a nice button down from Express and a pair of slacks he already owned. For our casual look, we both wore jeans and boots (we met while country dancing, so it fits). He wore a flannel that he already owned and I wore a camisole with a lace duster, both of which I already had in my closet. Layers always photograph nicely. Make sure you’re not too matchy-matchy with your outfits; you don’t want them to look like family portraits or that it’s one big blob of color. Also, make sure any patterns you wear aren’t too small and close together so you don’t have any issues with them translating on camera (think small, thin stripes and checkers). I got a flowy maxi dress from Lulu's, which I absolutely love! Then I bought a more casual, shift style, dress from Boho Blue. I also wore jeans and a nice sweater that I already had.
