Engagement photos

Jasmine, on October 29, 2020 at 3:36 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6
OK so originally we were not going to do engagement photos because we just didn’t want to or we thought we didn’t want to. And then a wedding date was postponed because of Covid. And lately we’ve been thinking maybe we should do them. So we talked a little bit about it and then we kept pushing it off and now we’re like OK we really need to get it done. But my fiancé really wants to have the pictures done on the beach. The only problem is it’s North Carolina and the weather changes daily. One day it’s 60 something and the next 75 and the next it’s 80 in the Nexus bag down to 60 something. I am just not sure if the weather will be warm enough on the beach. Plus the dress I got is a little short and the back is open... I don’t want to be cold lol

I also live in North Carolina and completely understand what you mean about the weather!
Is there any way that you could have a cute cover up as an accessory during the photo shoot or are you preferring to only wear the outfit you originally intended? Is there a location/area close around that can still give the beach feel to your photos without having to physically be on the beach?

Everything has a beachy feel here is literally just the beach LOL I could wear a cover up but it will take away the cuteness of the dress😒

Well hopefully the shooter will have an assistant & when it comes time to take the pic you can toss it to them. Gonna take a lot of planning/adjusting on your photographers part. I live in northern AZ & it’s 65 & beautiful now yet 2 days ago it was snowing!

Not the beach, but I just got home from taking my "day after" photographs up in Yosemite, here in CA. We took our pictures in the late afternoon/evening and it was in the upper 50s. I was a bit cold when we were just standing for our shots, but when I was moving, I was okay. I also threw on my jacket when we were going between locations and when we were not shooting so I wouldn't freeze. I think if you do something like that, you'll be okay. Also, engagement shoots aren't typically longer than a couple hours, so even if it is a little chilly, it'll only be for a short amount of time.

DH and I took our engagement photos in February in NYC.

Yep, it was super cold. We got really cute pics of me cuddling up to DH to stay warm.

Between locations, we just threw our coats back on.

Ok I’ll just bring a cover up. I just checked the weather for the next 14 days. It’s suppose to be in the high 70s both weekends so 🤞🏾we’ll see.
