Depends on the photographer- for us it was included in our package and it was $100. We spent 3 hours at Longwood Gardens in PA

I've talked to about 20 photographers from my area and $300 is common... so $175 sounds awesome to me. I'm from NH though. Smiley smile

I'm in Houston. I've requested several quotes and will see what the average is in this area. Thanks

As stated before, it really just depends. We paid $200 for 2 hours. We ended up getting ~95 edited photos with full rights and an option for her to do prints if we wanted at a discounted rate.

We paid a couple of hundred dollars for a 2-hour photo shoot but our photographer stayed with us for an additional two hours. We also got to keep 15 photos out of the hundreds she took.

Photographers have told me engagement shots are much less work, and thats why they cost so much less than wedding photograhy, but then maybe thats them trying to justify higher wedding rates
175$ isnt great, but i could see it. Sometimes, you can ask photographers to accomodate. If you really like this person's pictures and they wont go down on the price, then ask for more time for your money

Our was supposed to be included in booking for the wedding but he knocked off $100 bc there was no way we could get engagement pics done before he left. He understood my situation so it was cool he knocked money off. Other photographers said it was included in the price but wouldnt knock anything off for not doing it.

Ours was built into our package - but it averages in Missouri to about 300$. Our photographer though had enough fun we ended up staying out for a full 5 hours so we were pretty lucky! We had about 200 - 220 shots

Depends on the area you live, the photographer as well as where you are taking the pictures since a lot of places charge a fee for that. We're in Ga and paid $125 for an hour and around 100 pictures.
