Engagement Ring Prongs Loose

Bertolinowedding, on December 14, 2021 at 11:21 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6
I got in an accident a couple weeks ago and noticed after that 2 of the prongs on my ring are a little bent and the stone is loose. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can take it to get fixed and how much it would cost? I haven’t been wearing it because obviously I’m terrified of the stone falling out but I’m going to England to visit family for Christmas and wanted to get it fixed before then so hopefully somewhere that it can be fixed same day or in two days.

I would take it to the place where your FH purchased it. My ring has a lifetime warranty, as long as I get it cleaned by them once a year. They’re the only ones I would trust to work on my ring.

This. If this is not an option, call a few local, non-chain jewelers and ask them about a rush fix. You will not be the first or last person to ask about this!

Agree with PPs. If you cant go to where it was bought, find a local jeweler with good reviews. Stay away from a chain if you can!

If possible to take it to the original jeweler, do that, but if not find a reputable local (non-chain) jewelry store. They should be able to repair it.

It's good you noticed the prongs and stone were loose and have been careful about not wearing it since. I hope you were not injured in your accident.
