Engagement ring slides

It sounds like your band may be a bit large. Instead of getting it re-sized right away, you might want to consider purchasing adjustable, clear ring sizers until you are a few months out from your wedding. I ordered a pack from Amazon for about $5. It comes with different sizes and you can trim the rubber pieces, as seen on my e-ring.

I agree with @Karla C.'s temporary fix. I thought I had my size dead on with a 5 but it actually had to be sized to a 4 1/2. I wanted to wait to have it sized because I hated to part with it after I just got it. However, when I was cold, it slid around so much more. At the end of the day, I didn't want to lose it. For me to have it sized, it only took a week before I had it back.

I have sizers until closer to my date also. I just worry if I have it done now it'll be too small if I stress eat during planning, hahaha!

@Karla C, what were the ring sizers you have called? That looks much better than the big clunky ones I have!

ETA: I have had my ring sized, and the next size down won't go over my knuckle. This one still slides around a lot though!

@AlyssaWynne and anyone else whose knuckle and finger are two different sizes, you could probably have the jeweler put tiny spurs into your ring so that you can still get it on and off, but it won't slide around as much.

Mine spins all the time! Your band is prob a half size too big. If you get a wedding band and solder them together that should make it a tiny bit smaller!

My DH wanted to make sure my ring wouldn't slide and twist on my finger so he specifically chose a band that was made not to slide or twist.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Everyone suggested the sizing beads but I used the ring snuggies I got at Walmart for like 2 bucks. The longer I've had it the more comfortable it is

@Cassidy, I have the exact same ones haha. I've lost 2 of them so far, so I'm glad they were cheap and came with mulitple sizes!

Mine slides a little but I had not had it sized any smaller because if I get really warm, work too long or don't drink enough water my finger swells and I don't want issues...make sure you do something that you won't lose it. Just don't resize it unless you are sure it will be best for you.

@SaraJ I'm getting a wedding band to go around my engagement ring. But my ring is top heavy and like other posters I couldn't bear to have it away from me for any period of time. I love it. It takes some time getting used to!
