Engagement Ring while Sleeping

Ladies question...do you wear your engagement ring to bed? I heard you shouldn't. Something about the 5 S of not wearing an engagement ring...shower, shore, sleep, don't know the other 2. What do you all do?

I only take mine off to swim, wash dishes or shower; having it on all the time gives me a sense of comfort and it just feel so alien when I'm not wearing it. It's gotten to a point where it just feels like a part of my hand. Plus, mine is white gold and amethyst so scratching isn't an issue.

I actually take mine off any time I'm at home and have a special box I put it in on my bedside table.

I literally take my ring off the second I get into my house.

It has a special place so I never lose it. I just hate the feeling of rings

I take mine off when I shower or when I go to bed - it’s habit because I have a diamond necklace from FH that I wear daily so it makes more sense to me to take them both off at the same time and put them back on at the same time.

I take it off to sleep because I swell up when I sleep an have tried sleeping with it only to have my ring stuck and the pain itself wakes me up. I have circulation problems due to a health condition so I dont want to make that any worse.

I sleep and shower with mine on. I haven’t came across any kind of problems! The only time I take it off is if I’m cleaning with Clorox!

I wear my all the tone. The only time I take it off is when I put lotion on. I have had no problems with catching and ruining things with the prongs. I feel it is important to wear the ring because it symbolizes the strong love between my fiancé and I have.

I take mine off while I'm getting ready for bed and put it back on once I'm almost ready to leave in the morning. I take it off when I'm cooking if raw meat is involved and when I'm cleaning anything harsh or working out with weights.

I started taking it off to sleep because i woke up with my hand hurting and also take it off for showers. Get a ring dish so you don't lose it!

I take mine off as soon as I come home from work because usually I work out and then make dinner. I also won't wear it if I'm using harsh chemicals to clean the bathroom or something.

I only take mine off when I'm cleaning because I don't want the bleach etc messing it up. The only time it's been off while I slept or showered is because I forgot to put it back on after cleaning. Other than that I pretty much do everything with my ring on and it doesn't affect it.

I don’t wear mine to sleep. I did the first week but realized my fingers swell overnight and it was getting stuck! I also take it off to shower and wear a Qalo ring at the gym. Other than that, it’s on!

I wear mine to sleep, but I take it off when I wash my hands, shower, and exercise. I'm looking into getting a Qalo ring because I hate not having my ring on lol

I kept taking my ring on and off and I ended up causing inflammation and feeling a knot under my finger cause I kept pulling it off every 5 minutes not wanting to mess it up. I take my ring to the Diamond Direct every few months and get it steamed cleaned for free. I try not to let water touch it at all and if I'm working on a DIY project (hot glue, stuff like that) I take it off. I have been wearing it to bed lately and it's starting to get dirty so time for another free cleaning.

I'm thinking about getting a silicone band on the days I don't feel like wearing my ring. I'm just not use to wearing jewelry of any kind.
