Engagement Ring while Sleeping

I take off my ring all the time. I can't stand the thought of a dirty engagement ring or any ring for that matter.

I take it off when I sleep, shower, workout, cook, wash my hands, put on makeup. I'm so alert about where I place my ring that it's just a conscious thing to remember to put it back on.

I now remove mine, but in the past and when we travel (so there's no chance of losing it), I swivel mine around so the stone is in the inside of my palm, which reduces the possibility of scratching yourself or someone/something else with it.

I only take mine of for showering, sometimes cleaning, and work in the garden..but its also become a 50/50 whether i put it back on after my nightly shower or wait until morning. Mine is also a bit loose and I sleep cold so I domt jabe a concern aboit it cutting off circulation.

I usually take it off after work and leave it in the ring dish until morning. I take it off to wash my hands during the day. I wore it to bed one time and it fell off...I thought I lost it, so now I never wear it to bed😨

I heard but the 5s but I only take it off when I honestly need too. You'll know when you should or shouldn't.

I only take it off when I shower, wash dishes or when doing my hair. The only issue I have had while sleeping with it is sometimes the puppy becomes obsessed with it and tries to bite it. I just put my hand under the pillow and she stops.

Sometimes when you go on your honeymoon somewhere....it makes you a target for ring theft.

I bought a ring from Kohls that looked as close to my original ring as I could find....and left the original home. The security of knowing I wouldn't lose it in the sand, the water, or having someone in the hotel (housekeeping or whoever) steal it from the safe was paramount!

That way I still had something really nice to wear in its place but wasn't stressing about it if something happened!

4 S's: showering, sweating, sleeping, or spraying (like hairspray, beauty products, etc.)

4 S's were given to me by our family jeweler so they are legit. The ring gets dirty and loses its shine until you professionally clean it again. To me, it's more about taking care of something that my fiancé probably spent thousands of dollars on. I love taking care of my jewelry though and always have. I try to clean my ring every few weeks/months. I wouldn't ever wear it to bed in case my fingers swell from eating salty food, being dehydrated, etc. I never wear it to the gym because I sweat a ton and don't want to scratch it. I always take it off when putting on lotion too.

The more you take it off, the more likely you are to lose it!

I only take mines off when I’m washing my hair or someone’s else hair.

I do not wear mine to bed, the gym, or when I am cooking or cleaning.

I didn’t when we first got engaged but I do now.

I only take mine off if I am using my hands to do something with food, showering (and that just cause it tangles in my hair) or dishes. Other then that I never take it off.

The only times I take mine off is when I shower, wash dishes (thanks mom for the ring holder), and when I'm at the gym.
I had a promise ring for 2.5 years before we got engaged, so I got used to sleeping with a ring on.

I take mine off for shower, washing hands, hard work, cleaning, and things that might scratch the ring or diamond. I even take it off when wearing gloves. They do say not to wear it for all of these things, but if u really take your ring off all the times it says to take it off. you would never be wearing your ring. good luck hope you have some good advice.

I take mine off immediately when I get home and put on lastly before I leave the next day to avoid getting any soap, lotion, unnecessary dust etc on ring.
