Hey Ladies How Long Did It Take You To Get Use To Doing Things With Your Ring On? I Would Take It Off To Cook Or Clean Etc (I Didn’t want it to get dirty Etc 🙄🤣🤦🏽‍♀️) My Mother Saw Me Doing That & Said Yanna You Not Suppose To Do That The Ring Will Be Okay.

It took me 0.0 seconds to get used to wearing it. I started to not do dishes, cook messy things, and shower with it on but only because it was a little big. Once I put a ring coil on I wore it 24/7. And only 24/7 because about a week after I noted one of my stones fell off my pave band. 😂

I have been married a year and I still take my rings off to clean, cook, wash dishes, or shower. While the rings will technically be OK, the prongs can get damaged and there could be a lot of gunk built up faster, which would require more frequent cleanings. My mom is a jewelery wholesaler, and she's gotten rings sent for repair tons of times that look so mangled and dirty that it looks like the person used it to dig dirt. Also, if your ring is white gold, the wear and tear can erode the rhodium (what make white gold nice and shiny), meaning you have to get it replated more frequently.

It didn’t take long at all. I was wearing a fake one to let others know I was taken! I wear it the majority of the time- only take it off when I go to bed, shower & put lotion on. Other than that, it’s on me all the time. Feels weird without it.

It took me a little while like a couple months. The prongs that hold my stone, get caught on stuff constantly. So I'm still being mindful of that. I have washed my hands with it on at work but when I'm at home, I don't get it wet. I don't shower with it on or anything. I think it's also personal preference.

I feel like something's missing when I don't have it on, so I really only take mine off to shower and work out. My mom would probably say the same as yours though, she never takes her off and they've been perfectly fine to the naked eye at least

I wore a ring on that finger prior to getting engaged so it didn’t take any getting used too. I don’t wear mine at home... I’m always doing something; cooking, cleaning, laundry, rough housing with my dog, etc. I wear it when I go out of the house.

You should always take your ring off to shower, clean, and especially work out! Gold is a soft metal that can bend or scratch.

I wear it only when I am going out from the house, but lately because of covid I am not using it. Waiting for the new normal to wear my rings again.

I've been wearing rings on that finger for years, so mostly it was just adjusting to a different ring.

I usually take mine off for anything water-related (except for hand-washing, obvi).

Hello! I am like the previous posters! I only wear my engagement ring when I’m out of the house (at work, running errands, going out in general). I only wear my engagement in the house if we have a guest or friends over (as a small little glam). When I’m home I am sleeping, cleaning, showering, or chilling in my pjs with just my man so I just leave my ring in my bedside table ring bowl if I’m home.

Before COVID, I would wear my ring if my fiance and I were going out on a date night, or out with friends, or a special occasion, or something along those lines. But I just couldn't get used to wearing it, so I stopped wearing it altogether especially once COVID hit (since we haven't been going out anywhere).

Before Covid I wore it all the time. I love jewelry so it wasn’t a problem getting used to it. The only times I took it off was when I cooked, cleaned, slept, showered. Now in Covid it sits in the box cause I never leave my house.

It's been over three years and I'm not used to it. I don't like wearing it while showering, cooking, washing hands or putting lotion on.

I ended up purchasing an enso Silicone ring that I wear when I'm in myy home. I only wear the engagement ring FH gave me when I'm out in public.

It didn’t take me long to get use to it, but I do take it off often like anytime my hands will get wet or I’m putting on lotion, makeup, etc. I work in a lab so I don’t wear it to work often but I have a safe place to put it if I do wear it and need to take it off. I also don’t wear it to the gym or when working out at home. Sometimes it feels like I’m taking it off more than I wear it 😅

I got used to it immediately. I love wearing my rings. But I don’t sleep, shower, or do dishes with them on. I know it won’t hurt them, but the soap build up can make it less shiny and harder to clean.

I probably wear my ring once a month. I absolutely love my ring and would love to wear it everyday but with my job I can't. So I really only end up wearing it once a month.

Since Covid happened and being locked inside, I wear my real ring 24/7 unless I’m showering or doing something messy. I also have a fake replica that I wear if I’m at the pool or beach, hiking or the boat etc. I’m still too afraid to wear my real one when going out to places like that because I KNOW I may likely lose it haha.

I've had it on my finger for a year and half and I still take it off to shower, wash dishes, and depending on what I cook. I even take it off while I'm at work

I take it off when I shower, do the dishes, clean, or swim. I've worn mine for 2 years.
